Nothing is more exciting on a summer night than a Sherwood swim meet. Sherwood Sharks are rich in tradition, sportsmanship, winning, and fun!
Sherwood is a member of the Greater Forsyth Swim League, whose mission is to encourage swimmers of all abilities and encourage good sportsmanship. The team is comprised of boys and girls, ranging in age from 4 and under to 18 years of age. Swimmers receive age appropriate instruction in all four strokes.
Practice typically begins in mid-May. The season runs through mid-July, consisting of six dual meets and concluding with league championships. Sherwood also competes in the Winston-Salem City Meet.
If you are interested in joining the Sherwood Sharks or would like to learn more about the team, please contact Kim Fansler by email at firstname.lastname@example.org

You can get a team suit at SwimGear. They are located at 147 S Stratford Road, near Mid-Town Cafe. The team suit is optional and not required. It is the same suit as last year.
Swimmers will sign up for meets on a poster that will be posted on the bulletin board beside the vending machines at the pool. Your swimmer must sign up 3 days before the actual meet. If you cannot physically get to the pool to sign up, you can email Coach Josh at Joshuaslater930@gmail.com.
We will be using Sign-Up Genius before each meet for volunteers. A swim meet is a huge production. We are asking that you work 2 Meets for each child you have on the team. Volunteering at the meets can help the time go by quickly. It is also a great way to meet new people. If this is your family's first year on the team, you are welcome to volunteer, but it is not mandatory. We want you to enjoy the season and get accustomed to the way a meet is run.
We will be using a Remind app to make people aware of last minute changes, thunder delays, etc. text @kimfan to 81010 to get signed up
