2013 City Meet

Just a reminder for tomorrow:

10 & Unders need to be at Bolton no later than 9:00 am

11& Ups, no later than 2:00 pm

We need at least 2 Sherwood timers for each session.  Wewould like to get more than 2 volunteers so people could take turns and watch their children swim.  We would also love to have tents! There is a fairly large deck space for our swimmers but we need to tents for the them and 1 or 2 tents for the parents area.

City Meet always seems to fall on the hottest day of summer and it always storms that night. Swimmers and parents bring LOTS OF WATER! Afternoon swimmers, even if it looks like the bottom is going to fall out you need to still come to the pool. We swim in the rain! If a storm does come up tomorrow after we will try to keep everyone updated.

There was a lot of questions this morning about how many swimmers we had and if we were going to win. Sherwood has been the Large Team Champions and overall champions of the meet 9 times in the last 10 years. In 2011 we got 2nd to Waterford, a team not in our league. We brought back home our trophy last year and I would love to bring it back home to the Sherwood trophy cabinet again this weekend. Waterford is big and fast just like us and it's going to be a close meet from the first relay to the last swim tomorrow night. Tomorrow will not be all about the first places but the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th places are were the meet will be won or lost. Everyone swim counts! We need everyone on their A game so gets lots of rest today and drink lots of water!

See you tomorrow at Bolton!

Coach Anna
